This year is proving to be an exciting one! It is marked with key accomplishments, pioneering efforts, warm reunions, and calls to action that are shared throughout the pages that follow.

Key accomplishments: Chapel Drive is once again home to residents. I am sure you can imagine the undertaking in partnering with over twenty residents and families moving them to their new home all occurring over the course of a week. Special thanks to the dedicated team members who helped to make this move a seamless reality and to residents and families who had patience during the renovation time. A resident sums it up best, “Just look at my room, it is absolutely beautiful, just beautiful!” I agree!!

Pioneering efforts: In case you missed it, Valley View has a smart room. We spent the last year learning ways to integrate smart technology within our short-term rehab area focusing on rest and recovery while promoting independence. Our commitment to Service focuses on striving for excellence in meeting needs and the use of technology is another way for us to do just that.

Warm reunions: We are truly blessed to have a remarkable board of directors with varied professional backgrounds and a unified commitment to mission and values. As we celebrate the return of Lynn Reed to the Board, we cherish his past organizational knowledge, appreciate his measurement of current operations, and embrace his thoughts on strategy.

Calls to action: We are a community that finds ways to support, to celebrate and to plan together. This is made possible by those who continue to find reasons to give of their time and resources. We invite you to learn of creative ways you can become involved with our community and help to support our mission, to enrich the lives of older adults in a manner that demonstrates God’s love.

I am grateful for the strong foundation from which Valley View originated and to be part of the organization’s history, equally rooted in the residents who call Valley View home and the team members who feel called to serve.
