Q&A with team member Lauren Clark
Valley View is one of Mifflin County’s top 10 largest employers and is locally and nationally recognized as a leading retirement community in Pennsylvania. What truly defines Valley View, however, are the team members who live its mission each day. Clinical Supervisor Lauren Clark, who joined VVRC in 2024, reflects on her experience.
What inspired you to join VVRC?
“I feel that the culture is different than many, if not all, other long-term care facilities. I feel like this is a home and family like environment not just to the residents but also the team members.”
Can you share a moment when you felt especially connected?
“Meeting families and residents where they are at in their life journey and coming alongside them and guiding them to understanding their and their loved one’s care.”
What captures the heart of Valley View?
“Celebrating and sharing joy together.”
How has working here changed you?
“Working here has given me back my work life balance and my valued family time.”
If you could sum up Valley View in one sentence?
“Bringing joy and care to our older community in a dynamic family environment.”
