Connections Strengthen Our Mission
April 7, 2026
Over the past year, Valley View has been honored to build new connections and deepen long‑standing relationships with government leaders, local churches, researchers, and community organizations.
These partners may look different—from local Mennonite congregations to Penn State’s Center for Geriatric Nursing Excellence—but they share a common purpose: meeting the growing needs of older adults in Central Pennsylvania. We look forward to continuing these conversations as we work to make our region a leader in services for older adults and memory support.
Legislature Visit
In January, Valley View’s leadership team, in partnership with Nick Felice, CEO of the Mifflin County Industrial Development Corporation, hosted an informational session for local and state legislators. This gathering created an opportunity to share Valley View’s mission as a trusted community provider and to outline plans for expanding our memory support services to better serve the increasing number of older adults across our region.

Community Outreach
Valley View is deeply engaged in the life of our community. Through presentations at local civic groups, churches, and area senior centers, our team provides education about aging, memory support, and the many ways Valley View supports older adults and their families.
We are also proud to participate in the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute—an initiative that brings together emerging leaders committed to strengthening our region and investing in its future.
Pastors Breakfast
Earlier this year, we were honored to welcome several local church leaders for a morning of fellowship and conversation. Together, we reflected on our shared history and looked ahead to the future as Valley View continues to build upon the strong foundation of faith, community, and service established by the church families who first envisioned this ministry.

2026 CGNE Community Champion
This spring, CEO Nicole Sarver—and all of Valley View—was recognized as a CGNE Community Champion by Penn State’s Center for Geriatric Nursing Excellence. This prestigious award celebrates our ongoing partnership with the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing, including several innovative research collaborations.
The recognition honors Valley View’s commitment to delivering the highest quality, evidence‑based care that upholds each resident’s individual goals and preferences.
We are excited to continue growing these partnerships and exploring new opportunities to advance care and enhance quality of life for older adults in Central Pennsylvania.
