Value: Unity & Teamwork: Achieving excellence in service may be realized only through the collaborative efforts of a team of dedicated employees, volunteers, residents and Board of Directors. The professional development of the members, and their involvement and satisfaction are key to our Team’s success.
In 2022, Marjorie Hall-Petkosh and her husband, David, moved to Valley View Village from Lancaster County and quickly became active members of the community. With a career devoted to education, leadership, and standing up for the “underdog,” Marjorie brings a passion for advocacy, unity, and teamwork.
Last year, she led a Village-wide survey to gather resident feedback. The high response rate provided valuable insights that are now shaping improvement projects and boosting resident engagement.
For the past two years, Marjorie has served on the Resident Life and Engagement Committee (RLEC), an advisory group that acts as the voice of the Village. Working closely with VVRC board members, administration and resident representatives from the Terrace and the Haven, the committee helps elevate resident concerns, share ideas, and foster collaboration across all levels of the community.
“Achieving excellence in any area is a process and must be renewed every day through combined teamwork and unity of ALL the working levels of VVRC — Board of Directors, administration, dedicated employees, volunteers, and village residents,” Marjorie says. “When all the ‘players’ of VVRC believe and strive to build on these values year after year, I believe that VVRC can and will remain a foremost provider of residential living and long-term care services.”
