As a local nonprofit life-plan community rooted in faith, Valley View provides compassionate support to more than 400 residents who call Valley View home. Our Benevolent Fund, sustained by generous donors, helps ensure that every resident receives the same exceptional care, regardless of financial circumstance. More than 300 team members across our campus have completed Dementia Friendly training, ensuring a shared understanding and consistent, person-centered approach to care. Beyond our campus, Valley View partners with local government and community organizations to advance dementia awareness and support. Through initiatives such as Memory Cafés, we create welcoming spaces for connection, education, and encouragement for individuals living with dementia and those who care for them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Memory Care offered in Skilled Nursing?

Seeing a need for memory care, Valley View opened Memory Lane in 2015. In the years since then, Memory Lane has been a leader in memory services, offering a place of purpose and connection. The neighborhood is thoughtfully designed with a dedicated kitchen and dining room, spacious outdoor porch, and welcoming common area. It offers 24/7 nursing care by a team specially trained to help residents with dementia along with an enrichment team that is dedicated to meaningful excursions, events, and connections that promote wellbeing.

Is Memory Care offered in Personal Care?

Coming in 2026, Memory Personal Care will open with studio apartments. The neighborhood will offer a secure and supportive environment that invites and encourages residents to engage in purposeful, meaningful activities. Creating an environment with structure and routine while also providing opportunity for social interactions that foster new friendships help to support the ability to live a meaningful life. Plans are underway to add an enclosed Memory Garden that will offer a secure outdoor experience for residents, offering gardening, shade trees, a meandering path, and places to sit and visit with family and friends.

How do I know which care level is best for my loved one?

Memory Personal Care offers an enhanced focus on memory aids and cues to promote independence, so residents have successes in their day. Residents have an active role in day-to-day tasks and activities of their neighborhood. And are able to enjoy the outdoor garden (coming soon!).

Memory Lane (Skilled Memory Care) offers more clinical expertise and hands-on care within a skilled nursing setting, while offering a robust enrichment schedule filled with outings and activities.

We find it helpful to sit down with others to hear about current needs, challenges, and hopes for the future. In doing so, we are best able to help guide and share possible options and to discuss the next steps. Contact 717-935-2105, ext. 1070 or [email protected] to start the process.

We never planned on Alzheimer’s being a part of our life, however, God provided a place for my wife to flourish once again because of the unbelievable care she receives and thanks to the team at Valley View. I cannot thank everyone enough for the love, kindness, and support they have given to my wife. I’ll be forever grateful.
