Valley View is a proud supporter of Burnham Youth Sports Association this season. The sports league, which is part of the Big Valley Little League, has two softball teams and two baseball teams. The league has over fifty young athletes from Burnham, Lewistown, and Decatur between the four teams. 

“We can’t begin to thank Valley View enough for your generous sponsorship!” BYSA President Devon Wagner said. He said that the donation will help the league purchase new bases and a pitcher’s mound.

Valley View’s involvement with the teams goes beyond sponsorship; Memory Lane residents have cheered on several games, and players have come to Valley View to visit residents and sign autographs.

“We originally reached out to the league about partnering together because we wanted residents to be part of giving back to the greater community and to enjoy taking in a game or two,” Memory Lane Director Drex Treaster said. “Plus, seeing the youngest generation and residents together is amazing. They are two of my favorite populations, so seeing them interact is one of my favorite things.”  

We look forward to cheering on the Bulldogs for years to come.
